what happens

but people do notice
the other things
more traditional
names that exist in
the english language
like freak, and weird
creep and queer, worse
some real english words
she grows into what
can only be called slurs
so we don't say her name
we don't tell her what
she may become
when she grows up
we pray that she does
turn out 'normal'
doesn't need to know
there's no real shortage
of words that suit
a full grown tomboy
we just don't say them
in polite company
of ladies and gentlemen
